The Law of Oneness

Hello and welcome to Universal Law 32, the Law of Oneness.

In the Universal Law of Oneness we have the opportunity to discover we are all one, and there is no separation. Really, there is only one spiritual law and that is We Are All One.

There are many ways to look at this law, none of which give the experience of oneness - and in some way they point us in the direction of Oneness.

Let us look from the analogy of a beautiful carpet, of exquisite design, made of many threads. The threads together make up the carpet. The colours are different, the dark threads are deep, rich and intense, and the lighter threads rely on them to allow their beauty to shine through. The light, bright threads give depth and fathomlessness to the darker threads. It is the differences of colour and texture within the design that make the carpet so exciting. Each one of us is an important thread in that carpet.

If one thread of the carpet is damaged, the whole is diminished. When each thread is appreciated, the whole is appreciated.

One saying of the Law of Oneness is, “Do as you would be done by”.

We are all on our own path back to Source. Who are we to judge the route another is taking? 

We all exist in duality and allowing our own humanness is simply part of what it takes – part of the whole.

If you shout at and beat your dog, he will cower away and be unhappy.

Similarly, if you criticise and find fault with a child, you will never know her magnificence.

If you are self-critical your light will shine less brightly, and you will suffer.

When you accept all creatures and honour the divinity in us, they will blossom and so will you.

The part of you that has mastered the Law of Oneness, allows you to live it. Don’t be unkind to yourself at times you feel you aren’t a match for the Law of Oneness – simply relax and be kind to yourself. The Law of Oneness is about accepting everyone and everything as they are, without judgement  - and that includes yourself.

The defensive barriers we erect to protect ourselves serve to separate us from others.  It is only when you share something of yourself, that you experience closeness.

The Law of Oneness asks us to dismantle our barriers now – for as much as we are defended, we are separated from the Divine.

Any secrets keep us behind walls. It is strange that to us our secrets seem so terrible. To others, they are not so terrible. A secret shared is a wall dissolved.

You are the light of the world. Nothing can diminish the wonder of your light. Only walls hide it away. Seek your own light within and look for the light in others.

When we are living the Law of Oneness, we look for commonality in peoples, in religions, in disputes. Just as we are here for this learning here on earth, so are animals and insects, trees ands plants, all of life, all are evolving.  If you harm the earth, you damage the whole of creation. You are able to live lightly in your own space, just as other creatures do.

When you understand the Law of Oneness, you accept your own divinity; you start listening to your own intuition, rather than seeking answers externally. You become a co-creator with the Divine/God/Great Spirit. 

We tend to separate light and darkness as human beings and yet darkness serves the light. It is your servant and teacher and when you recognise this, you move beyond duality to oneness.

Your spirit is divine and is always showing you the way.

Oneness is accepting your own divinity.

There is only one. That is the Divine and it is Also you.
