Hello! And welcome to Universal Law 21, the Law of Affirmation.
Affirmations are thoughts and words constantly repeated until they enter your unconscious mind and become a part of your programming. They create a foundation of words and thoughts that have an incredibly powerful effect on you.
Most of us affirm unconsciously – we consistently repeat thoughts until we anchor them in our minds. These can be positive or negative - the unconscious mind is undiscerning and accepts all information. These repeated thoughts or affirmations enter your unconscious mind – the good and the bad - and profoundly affect how you think, feel and act.
Imagine hammering a nail into a piece of wood. With affirmations it is as if each blow of the hammer further embeds the thoughts or beliefs into your mind. From there, we act out these repeated thoughts. They can be helpful to us in our lives, or not. Gradually you believe them, for example “I am a success” or “I am a failure” and start to act consistent with that affirmation.
Affirmations work to bring about what you believe in, in three ways.
Firstly, you remember selectively and in concert with your belief. For example, if you say, “I always have really great holidays,” your mind selects to remember the enjoyable aspects of holidays. Secondly, you act in ways that are consistent with enjoying holidays. And thirdly, the Universe literally arranges itself to give you what you believe.
Simply said, the Law of Affirmation states that you bring about what you affirm.
Affirm you are what you want to be, and you will become it sooner than you think. Affirm that you have what you want to have, and it will magnetise towards you.
Top Tips for powerful Affirmations.
Speak your words with energy and intent. This will hammer them into your mind more powerfully.
Ensure you only use positive words. The unconscious mind doesn’t understand negatives. For example if you say, “I don’t want to live in this house,” it will only hear, “I want to live in this house.” It takes thinking about using positive language to affirm what you do want. Describe with as much detail as possible the future you are creating and affirm for example, “I am happy and fulfilled in my new home.”
Affirmations must be in the present tense. Your unconscious has no concept of time. If you affirm, “I am going to have a beautiful garden, it hears, at some point in the future, not now. The most direct route in the shortest possible time is to affirm, “I have a beautiful garden, now!” Effective affirmations are simple. Keep it simple and brief.
Affirmations need to be constantly repeated. When you choose an affirmation, keep repeating it whenever you have a free moment, in the loo, in the car, walking the dog.
Keep affirming those around you and mentioning and reminding them of their good points and you will raise the vibration and confidence of those around you and create a great environment for you all to live in.
